In rural areas where the biggest Wayuu population settlement is located, the water source is far away from their homes, this is why women and children have to walk long distances in the heat to reach the water. With the aim of alleviating the crisis, The Wayuu Taya Foundation has created the "Water for Community" program.
Over the last two years, and we have donated more than 720,000 liters of water, benefiting 27,000 people with clean water from our sustainable “water for all” program. Everyone has to purchase water in this area and for every water truck delivery that one person purchase for themselves, we provide an additional one to schools, elderly centers, hospitals, and other locations through our 'One for One' initiative.
Help us reach the goal of giving clean water daily to 25,000 people!
